Shipping and Receiving Clerk

About the role

The Shipping Clerk is responsible for accurately receiving purchasing orders into our ERP system and placing them in the proper finished goods area. This includes packing product to our specifications, loading and unloading trucks, and completing shipping documentation.

Responsibilities

• Accurately receive purchasing orders into our ERP system and place them in the proper finished goods area
• Pack product to our specifications
• Load and unload trucks
• Complete shipping documentation, including BOL, CI and packing lists
• Schedule shipping pickup, print shipping manifesting, print labels and put them on the proper boxes for those orders via our ERP system and the carrier’s website
• Verify shipping paperwork – pack lists, freight bill, shipping labels, etc.
• Tag received parts and identify as ready for line or storage
• Receive in parts in ERP system
• Identify non-conforming parts or packages and disposition in accordance with ISO 13485 standards
• Drive and operate forklifts
• Load/Unload trucks
• Verify correct paperwork on stored materials and before moving parts
• Maintain dock area in a neat and orderly manner/keep warehouse organized
• Transfer parts and orders interdepartmentally while insuring proper documentation
• Performing filing duties
• Additional tasks as assigned

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Shipping/warehouse computer software experience
• Prior shipping manifesting experience is a plus

• Ability to clearly understand material tracking documents and communicate verbally with line personnel on a daily basis
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
