Shipping and Receiving Clerk

About the role

The Shipping and Receiving Clerk verifies and keeps records on all incoming and outgoing shipments and pulls items for shipments. Review, interpret, and understand part numbers, processes, and instructions for shipping and receiving departments. Perform duties to establish Mazzella Quality Assurance Standards.

Requirements

• Review, interpret, and understand part numbers, instructions, and specifications of PO packing slips
• Receive products, verify 100% accuracy of packing slip, and report any issues to Receiving Lead
• Store items in the correct locations while following the correct receiving procedures defined
• Operate computer to perform NetSuite and PaceJet system functions and properly maintain receiving/shipping records
• Pull correct inventory items and quantities for shipments according to the Picking Tickets
• Fill out Inventory Tally Sheet when replenishing or pulling product at a location
• Report discrepancies with inventory or locations to the Inventory Coordinator
• Select correct packaging material, ensure 100% accuracy of order, package, secure, weigh, attach shipping label/ proper LTL paperwork
• Load and Unload trucks as required. Ensure all pallets and proper paperwork are together
• Operate forklifts and equipment within Mazzella Safety Guidelines
• Perform duties to establish Mazzella Quality Assurance Standards; report defective or substandard material, supplies, or products
• Perform Inventory Cycle Counts as needed
• Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition; follow all Safety Guidelines
• Other duties assigned by Leads, Coordinators, and Distribution Center Manager
