Ensure accurate receipt, stocking, shipment, and delivery of products while maintaining safety, quality, and customer focus in accordance with company and ISO 9001 standards.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Job in and job out work orders for accurate tracking.
- Receive freight/packages and verify accuracy against packing slips.
- Distribute materials to appropriate departments.
- Place stock on correct shelves or racks.
- Perform routine inventory cycle counts.
- Conduct final quality checks of orders before loading.
- Load trucks and record delivery information on packing lists as needed.
- Drive truck to deliver customer orders and pick up materials.
- Obtain customer signatures for pickup/delivery and issue receipts.
- Clean the inside of the truck and perform routine maintenance.
- Prioritize safety, quality, and timeliness in all tasks.
- Comply with all company policies, including a drug-free workplace.
Work Environment
The role operates in a warehouse/production environment, driving a delivery truck, and visiting customer worksites. The primary location is the warehouse shipping and receiving department.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, crouch, and bend while handling steel materials.
- Lift up to 70 lbs. occasionally.
- Push/pull boxes and freight.
- Pull and tighten tiedowns on delivery loads.
Schedule
Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm with a 1-hour lunch. Occasional weekend and overtime work may be required.

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- No experience required; 1 year of experience (including forklift and overhead crane) preferred.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to compare work orders against products for accuracy and quality.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Valid, current, state-issued driver’s license.
- Ability to obtain an Alabama State Port Authority ID and Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC).
