About the role
Select Staffing has a Shipping and Receiving clerk position within an Aerospace company in Simi Valley, CA.
Responsibilities
- Assist with stockroom operations including inventory control, materials movement, receiving, cycle counting and physical inventories
- Receive and inspect incoming electrical components and mechanical assemblies
- Maintain very high standards of inventory accuracy
- Maintain master file of stock items by assigning number to new stock items; updating inventory counts and recording reorder point information
- Utilize inventory management computer systems, preferably pcMRP, to track inventory levels and movement
- Monitor inventory levels and request replenishment as needed
- Optimize layout of stockroom for efficiency
- Ensure policies for ESD, moisture sensitivity, and other storage requirements are followed
- Collect and forward packing slips and shipping documentation
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
Qualifications / Skills
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in shipping and receiving within a manufacturing environment
- Experience using inventory management computer systems, preferably pcMRP
- Knowledge of Microsoft products including Windows 7, Word, Excel, etc.
- Excellent oral and written English skills
- U.S. citizen or resident status
- 1+ year of Shipping and Receiving experience
