Shipping and Receiving Clerk

Responsibilities

• Assure scheduled deliveries leave on time and arrive on time
• Coordinate delivery vehicle cleaning and fueling
• Ensure vehicle readiness and inspect vehicles prior to the start of service
• Check Fork Lift Inspection Sheet
• Document and report needed repairs or damage to vehicles
• Assist VP of Operations in coordinating scheduled vehicle maintenance
• Perform a variety of office tasks to assist in receipt and delivery operations
• Conduct daily reviews of current delivery status with the VP of Operations and directly affected personnel
• Communicate with VP of Operations and management team regarding transportation and delivery issues and conflicts
• Properly manage delivery schedule, records, and report status to VP of Operations
• Obey current CFM policies and operational procedures related to transportation and delivery
• Safely operate delivery vehicles
• Maintain knowledge of existing delivery routes (primarily local, with rare out-of-town deliveries)
• Effectively schedule and coordinate the transportation and delivery of materials
• Maintain effective working relationships with all customers and vendors
• Package parts for shipment, ensuring parts do not get damaged
• Inspect parts for defects during packaging
• Ensure accurate counts in packaging
• Perform other related duties as required

• Good eyesight to inspect parts for defects
• Ability to maintain accurate counts in packaging
