The Shipping and Receiving Clerk position at 3M in Quapaw, Oklahoma offers an opportunity to transition from other private, public, government, or military experience to a 3M career. You will collaborate with innovative 3Mers around the world and make an impact by maintaining clean, organized, and 5S-compliant stock areas, safely operating material handling equipment, preparing and processing materials for shipment or transfer, supporting inventory and procurement processes, and driving continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Maintain clean, organized, and 5S-compliant stock areas across Stores, the Warehouse, and production storage facilities.
• Safely operate material handling equipment and company vehicles to transport materials within and between plant buildings.
• Prepare and process materials for shipment or transfer by packaging, labeling, palletizing, shrink-wrapping, and ensuring all required documentation is completed accurately.
• Support inventory and procurement processes, including labeling crates and containers with appropriate instructions and serving as a backup for purchase order execution.
• Drive continuous improvement by identifying solutions, eliminating waste, and actively participating in 5S, 5D problem-solving activities, and the Lean Management System.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• One (1) year of experience working in manufacturing, logistics, shipping, order processing, or a related operational role in a private, public, government, or military environment.
• One (1) year of experience using computer-based systems for data entry, order management, inventory tracking, or similar business operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or higher from an accredited institution.
• Experience allocating materials to customer orders.
• Familiarity with BOL, LTL, and FTL shipping and dispatch processes.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills.

Pay

The starting rate of pay for this position is $23.84 hourly. This represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience.
