Responsibilities

  • Cook up snow removal and salting for company drives and parking lots.
  • Receive incoming materials, prioritizing and expediting them within 24 hours.
  • Receive packing slips, attach âReceiverâ paperwork, and receive into ShopPAK.
  • Deliver completed paperwork to the Controller.
  • Physically move materials to new locations and attach âJob & Work Orderâ paperwork if available.
  • Notify appropriate department heads of received materials.
  • Keep the receiving area and material holding areas clean and organized.
  • Perform âWill Callsâ as necessary.
  • Manage supply levels.
  • Load trucks as necessary and supervise any additional help.
  • Maintain all shop vehicles. (Notify someone if maintenance is needed).
  • Present a professional image to internal and external contacts.
  • Follow procedures and rules in the company handbook.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external customers verbally and in writing.
  • Manage time and set priorities for multiple tasks.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Able to read blueprints and schematics.
  • Detail-oriented and able to follow up on tasks.
  • The ability to operate all forklifts and maintain forklift safety logs.
  • Basic computer skills.

Desired Education and Experience

  • A high school graduate or equivalent.
