Job Summary
Under the direction of the Customer Service Manager, the Shipping and Receiving Associate verifies and processes incoming materials in accordance with departmental procedures, and maintains and processes all required documentation. Incoming materials are to be inspected against Purchase Order specifications and issued to inventory to be issued to manufacturing according to daily schedule. Local deliveries/pickups on occasion using our box truck; frequent deliveries/pickups between our two buildings that are located next to each other.
Essential Key Job Responsibilities
- Review daily shipping requirements with the Shipping Team Lead
- Retrieve competed jobs and pallets from production areas
- Perform quality checks of completed jobs prior to shipping to ensure that shipments meet customer specifications
- Stage shipments in an orderly manner
- Complete shipping/job paperwork as required
- Use stretch wrapper to wrap pallets meeting specs
- Load and unload trucks
- Perform daily inspection of equipment
- Maintain dock and storage areas in good order
- Assist with pulling cases as needed
- Cycle counting
- Fill sales orders, purchase orders, and internal job orders
- Second checking filled sales orders for accuracy
- Process shipments through UPS, FedEx, and DHLL
- Local pickups/deliveries using our box truck
- Comply with all company rules, regulations, and safety requirements
- Other duties as assigned by management
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
- Licensure and Certifications: Medical Release to drive company vehicle
- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Effective/clear communications skills, Operate hand jack/forklift/clamp truck, Professionalism; excellent reasoning skills, Completion of documentation, outstanding accuracy, Operation of standard business machines, computers, software, phones, etc., Demonstrate a level of mathematical aptitude necessary to be successful in the position, Working knowledge, awareness and compliance with ISO requirements, Must be able to read, write, and speak English
Preferred Qualifications
- 2-3 Years’ experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment
