About the role
We are seeking a Shipping and Receiving Associate to join our team. This role is critical to ensuring that every customer order ships accurately, on time, and in full.
Responsibilities
- Process daily outbound sales orders, pick, pack, label, and ship trackers and beacons via FedEx, DHL, and UPS, hitting our same-day shipping cutoff
- Generate domestic and international shipping quotes (ground, expedited, international) on request from Sales, Customer Experience, and Account Management teams
- Investigate and resolve carrier exceptions, including address corrections, failed deliveries, customs holds, and proof-of-delivery requests
- Receive inbound material customer returns (RMAs), vendor shipments, and inter-warehouse transfers into NetSuite with full inventory accuracy
- Cook up with Tive's US 3PL partner on outbound shipments to ensure on-time, in-full delivery to the customer
- Maintain shipping documentation and packaging standards for lithium battery and dangerous goods compliance
- Partner with Finance and the NetSuite team on inventory adjustments, reconciliations, and inventory record corrections
- Surface friction points in our shipping workflows and partner with Operations to design improvements that scale
- Support ad-hoc fulfillment, packaging, and inventory projects as the business grows
Requirements
- 3 to 5 years of experience in shipping, receiving, or fulfillment operations in a high-volume environment
- Hands-on proficiency with FedEx systems, including rate generation, label creation, address corrections, and exception resolution
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow and improve written procedures
- Comfort working in business systems to manage sales orders, inventory transactions, and shipment data
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- A continuous improvement mindset, with the ability to surface process gaps and propose durable fixes
- Excellent written communication, particularly across Slack and email with internal teams
- Professional experience with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred)
- Familiarity with DHL Express, DHL Global Freight, and UPS portals is a plus
- Working knowledge of dangerous goods and lithium battery shipping requirements is a plus
- Exposure to international shipping, IOR documentation, and duties/taxes is a plus
- Experience coordinating with 3PL partners or external warehouses is a plus
