Shipping and Receiving 3rd shift

About the role

This position is responsible for picking, packing, palletizing, labeling, shipping of customer orders, loading/unloading trucks, support for paint process (loading/unloading, part labeling and inventory transactions, part inspection), assembly of small parts and operating bushing presses.

Responsibilities

• Pick, pack, palletize, label, and ship customer orders
• Load and unload trucks
• Support paint process (loading/unloading, part labeling, inventory transactions, part inspection)
• Assemble small parts and operate bushing presses
• Use hand tools and basic inspection equipment (calipers, mics, torque wrenches, gauges)
• Perform source inspection
• Perform daily TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) activities
• Use stop-the-line authority at any sign of safety or quality concerns
• Follow work instructions and standard work procedures
• Complete all daily data collection as established
• Perform daily 5S activities

Requirements

• Mechanical aptitude
• Ability to read blueprints
• Good understanding of inventory control
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Fork truck license (must obtain if not already held)
• Commitment to working safely
• Ability to recognize quality products
• Basic math skills
• Average or above-average skills in numeric and visual recall
• Computer literacy

Education

• High school diploma or GED

Experience

• Manufacturing experience is preferred

Physical Demands

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Ability to work in sometimes extreme temperatures
