Shipper Receiver - Days

Essential Position Responsibilities

• Stores and retrieves goods in the storage area.
• Rotates stock to use oldest materials first.
• Notes and reports damaged packaging and containers.
• Records items added or removed from inventory.
• Prepares products for shipment by retrieving and loading them.
• Uses an industrial forklift and handheld scan gun/RFGEN for lot tracking.
• Maintains inventory accuracy by following department, facility, company, and regulatory guidelines.
• Performs minor equipment service, completes daily safety inspections, and identifies and reports problems.
• Changes batteries, refuels forklifts, troubleshoots repairs, and keeps the work area clean.
• Creates product labels for inventory purposes.
• Reads and understands lot numbers, expiration dates, ingredient lists, and production schedules.
• Completes various reports and enters information into the computer program efficiently and timely.
• Uses basic tools like wrenches, tape measures, scales, air, and water hoses.
• Consolidates partial pallets as directed by production supervisors.
• Moves and loads/unloads product on or from trailers while maintaining a safe work zone.
• Participates in team meetings and fosters cohesiveness among team members.
• Supports the implementation of team concepts, programs, and policies.
• Communicates concerns and improvement ideas related to operating systems.
• Performs other duties as necessary to support business objectives.

Physical Activities

• Climb on and off of the forklift.
• Back fork-lift up safely, requiring turning neck and body in the opposite direction.
• Lift and stack up to 75 lbs from floor to crown.
• Work in extreme temperatures (hot and cold), wet, dry, dusty environments.
• Sit and walk for long periods of time.
• Lift up to 75 pounds multiple times daily.
• Work in temperature extremes.

Technical Experience

• Knowledge of Julian calendar and FIFO practices.
• Preferred experience in shipping and receiving.
• Working with large moving equipment.
• Basic computer literacy.
• Knowledge of military time, RFGEN, and JDE.

Industry Experience

• Shipping and receiving knowledge preferred.

Minimum Education

• A High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Perform basic math.
