About the role

Location: Houston, TX (RDA) – Welding equipment rental. Monday‑Friday 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM. Under the direction of the Branch Manager, the incumbent assists with daily branch operations and ensures rental equipment is available for orders.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a safe working environment by following Airgas/Red‑D‑Arc’s health and safety guidelines.
• Determine method of shipment and arrange shipping; prepare bills of lading, and other shipping documents manually or by computer.
• Assemble containers and crates, record contents manually or in computer system, pack goods to be shipped and affix identifying information and shipping instructions.
• Oversee loading and unloading of goods from trucks or other conveyances.
• Inspect and verify incoming goods against invoices or other documents, record shortages and reject damaged goods.
• Unpack, code and route goods to appropriate storage areas.
• Maintain internal, manual or computerized record‑keeping systems.
• May operate forklift, hand truck or other equipment to load, unload, transport and store goods.
• Requires a CDL license for the delivery and pick‑up of equipment within the local area.
• General warehouse duties to include putting up stock, pulling and pack orders.
• Performs other warehouse‑related duties as required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Forklift experience.
• Experience with UPS software, bills of lading, LTL carriers, expediting shipments.
• Strong computer knowledge.
• CDL license required for local delivery and pick‑up of equipment.
