Shipper- 1st Shift

About the role

Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division is seeking a Shipper for the 1st shift. The position involves maintaining basic shipping operations, loading/unloading trucks, delivering material to the production floor, processing SAP transactions, and ensuring accurate shipping paperwork.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload flatbed trucks, vans, containers, and various materials safely
• Communicate directly with carriers, internal customers, and external customers
• Take photos and maintain archive of truckload shipments
• Perform all types of material handling, lifting, and packaging while following the shipping schedule
• Process and match shipping paperwork, special requirements, and materials with SAP to ensure accuracy
• Manage daily expedite requests from marketing, purchasing, and manufacturing
• Maintain a safe and clean work area per factory standards
• Process daily paperwork for records to be scanned in SAP; retain hard copies in department files
• Consistent lifting (no more than 50 LBS at a time without lift assist)
• Perform required cycle counts, inventory processes, and E&O processes
• Set up and operate press brake and or laser bending cell to burn, bend, form or straighten ferrous and non-ferrous material
• Use other machines as required
• Set‑up and operate all machine tools and perform all programming and operations on CNC machines and turning centers to fabricate parts within specified tolerances
• Receive and interpret work assignment from supervisor or production control system

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications

• One year of forklift operation experience in a shipping/receiving environment
• SAP experience

Skills

• Forklift operation (including yearly certification)
• Parcel shipment processing
• Basic computer, printer, and scanner skills
• Communication skills
• Basic arithmetic and measurement knowledge
• Preferred SAP knowledge
• Microsoft Suite knowledge
• Use of material handling equipment (pallet jacks, forklifts, overhead hoist, air and hand tools)

Pay

The hourly rate for this position is $20.00 per hour.

Schedule

The hours for this shift are 7 am – 3:30 pm.
