Responsibilities
- Fabrication of items made from sheet metal, steel, stainless steel, and aluminum such as hull outfit foundations, tanks, small assemblies, and bulkhead assemblies using sketches and drawings.
- Installing items on units or on ships including (but not limited to) set up of mock stations, layout and installation of shell/deck stringers, layout and installation of back-up structure, layout and install hull outfit foundations using assembly sketches and blue prints.
- Fabricating and installing major equipment foundations using fabrication sketches and drawings.
Requirements
- Preferred - High School Diploma Or GED.
- Preferred - Minimum 1 year Technical or Vocational training in steel fabrication or carpentry trade.
- Required - Minimum 1 year experience in metals fabrication or installation.
- Required - Must be able to read blueprints in detail.
- Required - Must have experience working with metal, hand tools, and power tools.
- Required - Must meet the requirements of the Shipfitter physical task analysis.
Pay
The pay range for this position ranges from $28.39/hr - $29.48/hr.
