Ship Clerk, IAG1 - AR

About the role

The Amazon operations team is looking for Shipping Clerks with a strong record of achieving results to join the expanding team supporting operations leaders and associates in delivering strong operations results within our fulfillment centers. Shipping Clerks will also be responsible for communicating instructions to other associates, motivating them, and keeping their work areas safe.

Responsibilities

• Correspond with multiple shipping companies and their contacts
• Use multiple shipping company's software to ship and track packages
• Coordinate trailers to corresponding dock doors and cross docks using OMA tool
• Ensure proper processes are followed with the Trailer Dock Release program

Basic Qualifications

• High School or equivalent diploma
• 1+ year of experience working with computers and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
• Candidates must be at least 18 years of age
• Work 40 hours/week, and overtime as required
• Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
• Able to lift up to 49 pounds, stand/walk for up to 10-12 hours, and be able to frequently push, pull, squat, bend and reach with or without reasonable accommodation

Preferred Qualifications

• A completed Associate's or Bachelor's Degree
• 1+ year of leadership experience directly managing others or one Peak as a Seasonal Tier 3
• 1+ year working in a like environment (manufacturing/distribution/warehousing/large retail)
• Experience with performance metrics and lean process improvement
• Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills to coach, train and assist team members

Pay

USA, NY, Niagara Falls - $23.00 - $24.00 USD hourly

Launch Bonus

$10,000 pre-tax, eligible for candidates located at a site outside of 50 miles from the launch site who have not received another launch bonus within the current calendar year and are hired within 30 days of first receive. The bonus is automatically paid out 3 weeks prior to the start date. Repayment (prorated based on time in service at the new launch site) may be required if the candidate leaves Amazon voluntarily or involuntarily within 12 months, is demoted within 12 months, fails to start at the new site, or laterally transfers to another site within 6 months of the launch.
