Shift Trainer

About the Role

Implements training programs, policies, and procedures to standardize work methods and increase efficiency. Conducts daily employee training and assists the management team in creating advancement opportunities for team members.

Responsibilities

• Create a positive learning environment, convey objectives clearly, and encourage and motivate trainees.
• Work 85-90% of shift on the shop floor to implement training requirements.
• Communicate effectively through hands-on training, verbal training, and presentations.
• Document results when required and evaluate learning outcomes.
• Report feedback to shift supervisors to assist in building development plans.
• Self-motivate and work without direction while coordinating with cross-functional teams to complete daily responsibilities.
• Maintain familiarity with various training techniques, use of company LMS, and proper procedures.
• Navigate company database systems.
• Maintain significant knowledge of machinery operation and conduct training for a variety of positions.
• Participate in onboarding and retention processes.
• Leverage interpersonal and leadership skills to foster a positive workplace culture supporting employee engagement, collaboration, and long-term retention.
• Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
• Exhibit behaviors that reflect company core values: Integrity, Empowerment, Sustainability, and Compassion.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Ability to run machinery and train others on various positions.
• Capable of advancing or refreshing skills through machine operation if necessary.
