Responsibilities
- Create a 'unique Italian welcoming environment' full of warmth and friendliness to our customers visiting our store.
- Support the store manager in managing the day-to-day operations of the store.
- Ensure your team is working effectively and ensure customers are at the heart of everything you do.
- Slide between duties such as selling, refilling the store’s needs, visual merchandising, cash handling, employee coaching, processing register transactions, and etc...
- Provide excellent customer experiences that will bring joy to their day!
- Lead the team by being a role model and setting exceptional customer service and operational standards.
- Monitor, support, and coach the team to ensure they reach their potential.
- React and adapt quickly to change and make timely, thoughtful decisions.
- Ensure the team consistently delivers great customer service and provides the best product according to the Venchi guidelines and mission statement.
Requirements
- A brief understanding of operational KPI’s, including sales, waste, and labor.
- Proactive towards achieving targets, planning the shift according to the goals, and placing the team members in the right positions to maximize every opportunity.
- Cash handling and reconciling the cash register daily.
- Maintain a clean, safe workplace and adhere to health and safety legislation.
- Encourage clear and engaging communication between team members and upwards.
- Open and close the store using the daily checklists.
- Be available morning, evening, and weekends shifts.
Qualifications
- Leading from the front, setting an example for the team by being a role model.
- Demonstrate a 'growth mindset', always being proactive.
- Quick learner, have a positive can-do attitude.
- Ability to multitask and think on your feet.
- Comfortable working evenings and weekends, that’s when we are at our busiest.
- Friendly and energetic, enjoys working as part of a team.
