Shift Supervisor MCSS

About the role

As a Shift Supervisor (MCSS), you are responsible for the daily operation of an Exchange branch facility. You will assist growing sales by leading the team that oversees associates in the execution of strategies to deliver a tailored customer experience within assigned areas. You will utilize leadership skills to empower associates, identify the root cause of issues, and create a positive environment that drives customer experience and Exchange brand loyalty.

Responsibilities

• Deliver extraordinary customer experience by engaging customers, building trust, and prioritizing customer needs over tasks
• Efficiently manage opening and closing procedures, maintain schedules, and oversee cash register transactions with zero variance tolerance
• Train and coach associates on merchandise presentation standards, sales skills, and corporate loyalty programs
• Actively communicate and promote the benefits of the Military Star credit card and Exchange protection plans to drive sales growth
• Lead teams to meet organizational objectives and maintain employee performance communication folders
• Ensure loss prevention and accountability procedures are followed and minimize controllable expenses
• Assure compliance with fire, safety, sanitation, and security regulations; ensure security of fixed assets, cash, and inventory
• Adhere to environmental protection agency guidelines
• Operate a cash register or other sales-related equipment to enter new accounts, conduct sales, refunds, prepare change funds, and deposits or similar transactions
• Verify and accept multiple tenders for payment and make change with accuracy and zero variance tolerance

Requirements

• Completion of high school or the equivalent
• Retail experience
• Demonstrated willingness and potential for additional responsibility
• If applicable, successfully complete the management motor compliance course number 175S within three months of occupying the position
• Ability to learn and adapt to current technology needs
• Ability to think quickly on the spot to answer customer questions
• Ability to take initiative

• Willingness to cross-train and work in other areas of the store, as needed
• Possess a welcoming and helpful attitude toward customers and other team members
• Strong attention to detail regarding loss prevention, inventory accountability, and expense minimization
• Basic computer and technical skills

Pay

Salary range: $20.54 – $28.00 per hour
