Shift Supervisor - Lead Barista, Starbucks, Ballard, #523

Reporting to the Site Leader, this role ensures order accuracy and fast, efficient delivery to customers while contributing to Starbucks' success by assisting in store operations during scheduled shifts.

Responsibilities

• Act with integrity, honesty, and knowledge that promote the culture, values, and mission of Starbucks and Gopuff
• Maintain a calm demeanor during periods of high volume or unusual events to keep store operating to standard and set a positive example for the shift team
• Anticipate customer and store needs by constantly evaluating the environment for cues
• Communicate information to the manager so the team can respond as necessary to create a great working environment during each shift
• Assist with new employee training by positively reinforcing successful performance and providing respectful, encouraging coaching as needed
• Provide feedback to the manager on employee performance during the shift
• Create a positive learning environment by providing clear, specific, timely, and respectful coaching and feedback to baristas to ensure operational excellence and improve performance
• Develop positive relationships with the shift team by understanding and addressing individual motivation, needs, and concerns
• Execute store operations during scheduled shifts
• Organize opening and closing duties as assigned
• Maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality
• Provide quality beverages, whole bean, and food products consistently for all customers by adhering to all recipe and presentation standards
• Follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines for all products

Requirements

• 1+ years of leadership experience in retail, grocery, military, restaurant, or equivalent experience
• 1+ year of leadership in a café is preferred
• ServeSafe Certification highly preferred
• Starbucks or other fast-paced café experience preferred
• Ability to work with fluid schedules
• Welcoming and helpful attitude toward new team members
• Ability to learn and adapt to current technology needs
• Work both independently and with a team
• Focus on quality and take pride in your work
• Attention to detail and ability to follow multi-step processes

Pay

Compensation for U.S. locations is based on a cost-of-labor index for the geographic area. The rate for Seattle, WA is $25.05 per hour. A candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions.

Schedule

Working hours may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and/or holidays.
