Responsibilities

• Ensures the safety, welfare, and the preservation of rights of clients.
• Interactions with clients, staff, and visitors should always be with respect and dignity.
• Makes sure the home/unit has adequate supplies as needed to carry out treatment plans.
• Aids in training and mentoring residential staff.
• Reviews and monitors to ensure all documentation for assigned unit(s) is completed.
• Takes immediate action of noted concerns.
• Oversees Direct Support Professionals in the completion of incident reports, restraint forms, and staff injury reports within his/her assigned unit.
• Reviews these forms for accuracy, legibility, and to ensure they are completed in a timely manner.
• Conducts preliminary investigations into client and staff incidents and injuries.
• Completes work schedules for Direct Support Professionals assigned to his/her unit.
• Reviews schedules in advance to provide accurate daily coverage sheets for assigned unit.
• Maintains an up to date record of staff conduct and attendance.
• Helps to maintain a safe, respectful and inclusive working environment for staff and residents.

Requirements

• High School Diploma
• Two years' experience working in the Mental Health and Developmental Disability field.
• Must have valid drivers license
• Must be able to pass Drug and Background standards (No felony, No pending Court cases)

Qualifications

• Preferred 2 years prior supervisor experience
• Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, or Human Services

Skills

• Well organized with excellent verbal and written communication
• Proficient in Outlook, Word, excel, with basic computer skills

Schedule

Expected hours for this position are 6:00AM - 6:00PM Sunday - Wednesday
This is a full-time position.
Employee will work a rotating schedule as needed to provide direct support and supervision of Direct Support Professionals.
