SHIFT SUPERVISOR (FULL TIME)
About the role
Location: Adelphi University, 1 South Avenue, Garden City, NY 11530. Direct the activities of associates during a specific shift, overseeing that assigned job expectations are completed while maintaining policy and procedure. Chartwells Higher Ed maintains a drug‑free workplace.
Responsibilities
- Provide training and create work schedules.
- Evaluate worker performance, reward high performers and discipline employees who fail to meet reasonable standards.
- Prepare production or sales reports for management and ensure unit meets expectations for quality, productivity and safety.
- Act as contact person for employees with complaints or requests for time off.
- May act as a mentor, develop employees and encourage workers to set goals and strive for advancement.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Prior food service supervisory experience is required.

Pay
$21.00 per hour to $25.00 per hour.
Schedule
Full time schedule; Monday through Sunday, hours may vary, including nights and weekends. Full availability.
Because this position requires you to perform services in an educational facility, there may be periods when the Company does not require you to perform work (such as winter and summer breaks when food service needs decline or cease). Any such periods during which you do not perform work on the Company’s behalf may be unpaid and deemed a temporary layoff. However, depending on business needs, you may be required to work year‑round, potentially at a different location during break periods.
