Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Provides high quality food products and beverages consistently for all guests by adhering to all recipes, presentation standards and health department requirements.
- Anticipates guests and café needs by evaluating the environment and guests for cues.
- Communicates information to the General Manager so the team can respond as necessary to help to create a welcoming environment.
- Assists with new hire and ongoing training by positively reinforcing successful performance and giving respectful and encouraging coaching as needed.
- Communicates feedback to the Café Manager on employee performance during the shift.
- Delivers exceptional customer service to all guests by acting with a guest first attitude and engaging with the guest.
- Develops positive relationships with the team by understanding and addressing individual motivation, needs, and concerns.
- Executes store operations during scheduled shifts.
- Organizes opening and closing duties as assigned.
- Complies with SAMBAZON’s operational policies and procedures, including those for cash handling and safety and security, to ensure the safety of all employees during each shift.
- Follows all cash management and cash register policies and ensures proper cash management practices are followed by the team.
- Maintains a calm demeanor during periods of high volume or unusual events to keep café operating to standard and to set a positive example for the shift team.
Education, Experience And Other Skills/Competencies
- At least six (6) months of experience delegating tasks and/or coordinating the tasks of two (2) or more team members.
- High school diploma is preferred.
- Food handler's certification must be obtained in compliance with San Diego County regulations.
