Shift Supervisor

3rd Shift Supervisor – St. Charles, Illinois (10:00 pm – 6:30 am, occasional weekends). Bilingual candidates who can read, write, and speak Spanish are required.

About the Role

Pretium Packaging, founded in 1992, is a leading supplier of injection‑blow molded plastic containers with 21 manufacturing locations across North America. The Shift Supervisor will oversee daily operations on the 3rd shift, ensuring smooth and efficient production of rigid plastic containers while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily shift operations, including production schedules, staffing, and quality control.
• Ensure all employees follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
• Train and mentor new employees to equip them for their duties.
• Monitor production processes, identify issues or bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with other supervisors and departments to streamline operations and improve efficiency.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations, providing feedback and coaching as needed.
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to keep processes and products competitive.

Qualifications

• Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking Spanish.
• 2+ years of supervisory experience in the plastics industry (blow molding and/or injection molding preferred).
• In‑depth knowledge of plastics manufacturing processes and equipment.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to manage a diverse team on the plant floor.
• Proven problem‑analysis and resolution abilities.
• Excellent organizational and time‑management skills.
• Flexibility to work evenings and occasional weekends.
• Proficiency with IQMS, Microsoft Office, and related software applications.

Skills

• Lean Manufacturing principles.
• Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
• Injection molding experience.
• Blow molding experience.
• Familiarity with injection molding machines and blow molding machines.
