Shift Supervisor

About the role

This position supervises a shift of production staff at various plants operated by Louis Dreyfus Company. The primary function is to ensure quality products are produced in a safe and efficient manner.

Responsibilities

• Plan and assign daily activities to production staff.
• Manage staffing schedules to ensure proper coverage.
• Coordinate start-ups, shut-downs, and changeovers.
• Respond to and lead investigations of production issues or alarms.
• Maintain a safe and orderly work environment.
• Report unsafe conditions and incidents promptly to management.
• Conduct shift safety meetings and provide training.
• Investigate and report safety and environmental accidents.
• Coach staff on performance expectations and provide feedback.
• Assist with production functions as necessary.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Four years of production/processing experience in an industrial setting, with two years in a supervisory/leadership role.
• Prior experience in soybean processing or ethanol industry preferred.

Qualifications

• Basic qualification: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred qualification: Bachelor’s degree.
• Experience: Four years of production/processing experience in an industrial setting, with two years in a supervisory/leadership role.
• Preferred qualification: Soybean processing or ethanol industry experience.

Pay

Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience.

Schedule

Continuous 24/7 plant operation with 12-hour straight shifts (nights), with off-shift call-in requirements as needed.
