About the role

Store 2743527 located at 9590 Sawmill Parkway, Powell, Ohio 43065. Full‑time position requiring weekday and weekend availability.

Responsibilities

• Provides prompt excellent customer service; greets and thanks customers; offers suggestions; rings up sales accurately handling money, checks, and other payments.
• Performs multi‑function operation of fuel console, lottery machines, money order machine, telecom transactions, etc.
• Maintains store facility condition and equipment; cleaning, housekeeping, inspecting for safety and proper working order; contacts maintenance for repairs.
• Completes build‑to’s for ordering/purchasing merchandise; receives and verifies vendor deliveries; maintains adequate stock; rotates stock; places advertising and pricing signage.
• Controls merchandise, cash shortages, and selling expenses; assists in maintaining proper inventory levels and shift audits.
• Monitors shift sales, cash handling procedures and other shift functions including daily close‑out; notifies Store Manager of discrepancies.
• Supervises customer service representatives in absence of Store Assistant Manager; coaches and trains new employees; monitors customer traffic and adjusts staffing; assists with counseling and feedback; may manage fast‑food service area; knows gasoline pricing strategy and adjusts prices.
• Reports incidents (injuries, theft, property damage, improper sanitation/waste disposal) and unsafe/unlawful/unethical conduct to Store Manager.
• Performs shift change duties: counting cash drawer, recording employee purchases, completing end‑of‑shift reports; keeps accurate time‑keeping records; may take inventory; attends job‑related meetings; provides regular onsite attendance; completes daily store reports and other assigned duties.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience in retail sales preferred.
• Ability to work with the equipment, tools and materials listed (fuel console, lottery machines, money order machine, telecom transactions, cash register, etc.).
• Ability to work as scheduled, arriving on time.
• Ability to communicate information and ideas clearly.
• Ability to perform the four basic arithmetic operations (add, subtract, multiply, divide) preferred.
• Ability to perform essential duties and physical functions described.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to be exposed to cold or warm temperature extremes, occasional work in walk‑in cooler/freezer and outdoors.
• Occasionally lift and/or carry up to 30 pounds from ground to overhead.
• Occasionally lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds from ground to waist.
• Grasp, reach and manipulate objects with hands for entire shift (eye‑hand coordination).
• Push/pull with arms up to 20 pounds force.
• Reach overhead for objects.
• Bend and twist at waist.
• Communicate orally.
• Operate a cash register and/or computer keyboard.
• Stoop, kneel, squat, bend, push, and pull.
• Work alone.
• Exposed to occasional noise.
• Stand and/or walk for an entire shift.
• May require climbing a ladder to store/retrieve materials or place/remove signs.

Work Environment

• Perform approximately 95% of work indoors; required to clean parking lots, gas pumps, take out garbage, etc.
• Exposure to extreme cold temperatures while occasional work in walk‑in cooler/freezer.
• Exposure to occasional noise.
• Work with minimum direction and periodic supervision.

Pay

Hiring range: $16.50 to $17.00 per hour.
