About the role
The Shift Quality Auditor performs inspection and testing of manufactured products in accordance with Control Plans and Work Instructions to ensure manufactured products meet Control Plan criteria. The Shift Quality Auditor trains new inspection personnel in test techniques and in-process inspection methods.
Responsibilities
- Performs in-process and final inspections as required per SOP to ensure product specifications are met.
- Performs general inspection duties as required.
- Performs Warehouse Audits.
- Follows safety manufacturing guidelines and rules.
- Arrive at job site 15 minutes early to receive update information on the job they are taking over/starting for that day.
- Responsible to keep Supervisors informed of quality issues.
- Cross reference between Supervisor, Trainer, and Shift Quality Auditor to agree on shift quality and how to properly train Operators.
- Trains new inspection personnel in Control Plan Usage, In-Process Inspection and final inspection as required per SOP.
- Help cover breaks as needed.
- Ensure the compliance with the Quality Management System.
- Must wear ear plugs for hearing protection and any other PPE as required.
- Other duties as assigned by manager.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Experience: 2 Years of Experience in Quality Inspection
- Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Attention to detail and able to visual see product defects; Able to work in a team environment, and maintain a positive team attitude; Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings; Ability to use hand tools, gages and fixtures to perform inspection; Knowledgeable in Control Chart usage and interpretation; Ability to use a CMM for Inspection; Ability to use micrometers, gages and test fixtures; Ability to lift 30 lbs. by hand; Trained to operate a forklift
