About the role
Symbotic is seeking a Shift Manager to oversee site operations, focusing on safety, quality, and performance. Reporting to the Automation General Manager, the Shift Manager will partner with customers to ensure operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and customer processes.
- Manage a team of employees to support customer operations.
- Execute standard operating procedures and adjust to changing conditions.
- Evaluate and develop team members, setting goals and objectives.
- Coach the team to address system issues and improve performance.
- Develop and maintain standards, processes, and documentation for problem resolution.
- Train and motivate team members to meet customer expectations.
- Communicate with customer management and Symbotic headquarters.
- Monitor system performance and report on KPIs.
- Conduct accident investigations and document findings.
Requirements
- Associate or bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, or Industrial Automation or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in management and operations, preferably in manufacturing or related fields.
- Strong knowledge of automation, warehousing, and business processes.
- Excellent leadership skills, ability to motivate cross-functional teams.
- Experience interacting with executives and customers to drive operational excellence.
- Ability to work independently, follow maintenance procedures, and use Microsoft Office Suite.
Qualifications
- Capable of working in extreme temperatures (105°F to 32°F).
- Frequent lifting and moving of items up to 80 lbs.
- Standing/walking for up to 10-12 hours.
- Working at heights up to 45 feet and in confined spaces.
- Ability to perform tasks requiring frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, and crawling.
- Compliance with safety protocols and Lock Out Tag Out procedures.

Pay
The base range for this position in the posted location is $71,000.00 - $97,900.00. The actual salary offered may vary based on qualifications and experience.
Schedule
Shift work schedule will be provided upon hire.
