Shift Manager

About the role

We are seeking a Shift Manager, Ground Handling to join our dedicated team at Piedmont Airlines. Our mission is to provide exceptional service to our customers and airline partners while fostering a supportive and professional work environment.

Responsibilities

• Aid in station labor relations, operations efficiencies, maintenance, facilities, safety, and security
• Oversee daily operations and coach staff for career development
• Manage a diverse staff and handle administrative duties such as reports
• Ensure compliance with FAA and Aircraft Operator Standard Security Program regulations
• Work independently and manage deadlines
• Resolve conflicts and maintain a positive team dynamic
• Use Microsoft Office Suite effectively

Requirements

• Proven leadership experience with effective planning and resource allocation
• Familiarity with FAA and Aircraft Operator Standard Security Program regulations
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
• Previous supervisory experience in an airline setting
• Experience with internal controls processes for accountable items

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous management experience in a hub environment
• Experience in an operations/dispatch environment
• Extensive knowledge of QIK and Sabre
• Bachelor’s degree in Aviation, Business, or related field

Pay

$50,000.00/Annual Salary - $59,000.00/Annual Salary (Based on locale and experience)

Schedule

Shifts include weekends, nights, holidays, and irregular hours.

Physical Requirements

• Handle objects up to 70 pounds
• Assist passengers with disabilities

Work Environment

Standard office environment, airport ramp environment, subject to weather conditions and noise levels.
