Shift Manager

About the role

This job posting is for a Shift Manager position in an independently owned and operated McDonald’s restaurant. The franchisee is a separate company and employer from McDonald’s USA. Employment matters, such as hiring, firing, discipline, supervision, staffing, and scheduling, are handled by the franchisee.

Responsibilities

• Lead shifts every week, ensuring customers receive a fast, accurate, friendly experience.
• Provide leadership to crew and other managers during a shift to maintain high Quality, Service, and Cleanliness standards.
• Monitor performance during the shift, take necessary actions to meet McDonald’s standards, and ensure safety and security.
• Communicate with the next Shift Manager to prepare them for their shift.
• Meet targets during your shift and assist in meeting departmental goals.
• May be responsible for food safety, internal communication, inventory management, daily maintenance and cleanliness, managing crew, quality food production, exceptional customer service, safety and security, and scheduling.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older to be considered for this role.

Essential functions of this job include performing a variety of tasks such as planning for each shift, monitoring performance, ensuring compliance with McDonald’s standards, managing safety, security, and profitability, and communicating effectively with the team.
