Shift Manager
About the role
The role involves leading shifts in a McDonald’s restaurant owned and operated by an independent franchisee, not McDonald’s USA. As a Shift Manager, responsibilities include ensuring quality, service, and cleanliness, managing inventory, maintaining cleanliness, and training staff.
Responsibilities
- Plan and monitor shifts to ensure great Quality, Service and Cleanliness to customers.
- Take action to ensure the team meets McDonald’s standards.
- Communicate with the next Shift Manager to prepare them for their shift.
- Meet targets during shifts and help departments meet their goals.
- Manage food safety, internal communication, inventory management, daily maintenance and cleanliness, and crew.
- Ensure exceptional customer service and safety and security.
- Schedule staff and manage their time effectively.
- Train new and existing staff.
Requirements
- Previous leadership experience, preferably within a restaurant, retail, or hospitality environment.
- A positive attitude and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility with a schedule.
- Must be 18 years or older.
