Shift Manager
About the role
Managers lead shifts every week, ensuring customers receive a fast, accurate, and friendly experience. They oversee a team and other managers during a shift to maintain high standards of quality, service, and cleanliness. Shift Managers handle various tasks such as shift planning, performance monitoring, safety and security oversight, and communication between shifts.
Responsibilities
- Plan and monitor shifts to ensure customer satisfaction and compliance with McDonald’s standards.
- Ensure the team meets McDonald’s targets and department goals.
- Manage inventory, daily maintenance, and cleanliness.
- Train and supervise staff.
- Handle food safety and internal communications.
- Manage crew schedules and conduct safety checks.
Requirements
A background in leadership, preferably within a restaurant, retail, or hospitality setting, is preferred. Applicants should be 18 years or older and possess a positive attitude and flexibility in their schedule.
Qualifications
Previous leadership experience is beneficial, but not required. Candidates should demonstrate a passion for the fast-paced environment and a commitment to exceptional customer service.
Skills
Strong organizational and communication skills, along with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively, are essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is helpful.
