Shift Manager

About the role

The job involves leading shifts in a McDonald’s restaurant, ensuring quality, service, and cleanliness. It requires managing a team, planning shifts, monitoring performance, and handling various tasks such as inventory management, food safety, and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Lead shifts to ensure great Quality, Service and Cleanliness to customers
• Plan for each shift and monitor performance during the shift
• Take action to ensure the team meets McDonald’s standards
• Maintain safety, security, and profitability
• Communicate with the next Shift Manager to help prepare them for their shift
• Meet targets during shifts and help departments meet their goals
• Manage crew, inventory, daily maintenance, and cleanliness
• Ensure exceptional customer service
• Manage food safety and handle scheduling
• Train new employees

Requirements

• Previous leadership experience in a restaurant, retail, or hospitality environment is preferred
• Must be 18 years or older to be a manager in a corporate-owned McDonald’s restaurant

Qualifications

Positive team player with a flexible schedule and passion for the fast-paced environment. Must be able to communicate effectively and manage a team efficiently.

Skills

Leadership, communication, problem-solving, multitasking, and time management skills are essential.
