About the role
The role involves leading shifts every week to ensure customers receive a fast, accurate, and friendly experience. Shift Managers are responsible for various tasks such as planning for each shift, monitoring performance, ensuring compliance with McDonald’s standards, managing safety and security, and communicating with the next Shift Manager.
Responsibilities
- Planning and executing shifts to maintain high-quality service
- Maintaining cleanliness and quality of food production
- Ensuring adherence to McDonald’s standards for service, quality, and cleanliness
- Communicating effectively with the team and the next Shift Manager
- Monitoring and addressing safety and security concerns
- Managing inventory and daily maintenance
- Supervising and training the team
- Meeting and exceeding shift targets
- Supporting the assigned departments in achieving their goals
Requirements
- Previous leadership experience, preferably in a restaurant, retail, or hospitality setting
- Positive attitude and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility with a willingness to adapt to a dynamic work schedule
- Ability to communicate effectively and manage a team
- Age 18 or older
Qualifications
While not specified, a high school diploma or equivalent is typically required. Previous experience in a managerial role is preferred.
