Shift Manager

About the role

The role involves leading shifts in a McDonald’s restaurant, ensuring high-quality service, cleanliness, and adherence to McDonald’s standards. The position requires managing a team, planning shifts, monitoring performance, and handling various administrative tasks.

Responsibilities

• Leading shifts to deliver fast, accurate, and friendly service to customers.
• Making sure the team meets McDonald’s quality, service, and cleanliness standards.
• Monitoring safety, security, and profitability during shifts.
• Communicating with the next shift manager to prepare them for their shift.
• Meeting targets set during shifts and helping departments achieve their goals.
• Ensuring food safety, internal communication, inventory management, daily maintenance, and cleanliness.
• Managing the crew and overseeing quality food production.
• Providing exceptional customer service and maintaining safety and security.
• Scheduling staff and training new hires.

Requirements

• Previous leadership experience, preferably in a restaurant, retail, or hospitality setting.
• A positive attitude and a willingness to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to manage a team and handle various administrative tasks.
• Flexibility with a schedule to accommodate shifts.
• Must be 18 years or older to qualify as a manager.

Qualifications

Pay

$17 - $19 per hour

Schedule

Shifts are typically 8 hours long, Monday through Saturday, with varying start times depending on the location.
