Shift Manager

About the role

The position is for a Shift Manager at a McDonald’s restaurant owned and operated by an independent franchisee, not McDonald’s USA. The franchisee is a separate company and employer, and McDonald’s USA has no control over employment matters.

Responsibilities

• Lead shifts every week, ensuring customers receive a fast, accurate, friendly experience.
• Provide leadership to crew and other managers during a shift to ensure great Quality, Service and Cleanliness.
• Monitor performance during the shift, take action to ensure the team meets McDonald’s standards, monitor safety, security, and profitability, and communicate with the next Shift Manager to help prepare him/her to run a great shift.
• Meet targets during shifts and help assigned Departments meet their goals.
• Manage inventory, daily maintenance and cleanliness, quality food production, exceptional customer service, safety and security, and crew scheduling.
• Previous leadership experience in a restaurant, retail, or hospitality environment is preferred.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Positive team player with a flexible schedule and passion for the fast-paced McDonald’s environment.
