Shift Manager
About the role
Shift Managers lead shifts every week, ensuring customers receive a fast, accurate, and friendly experience. They provide leadership to crew and other managers during a shift to maintain high standards of quality, service, and cleanliness. Shift Managers handle various tasks such as planning for each shift, monitoring performance, enforcing safety and security protocols, communicating with the next Shift Manager, and managing inventory and crew.
Responsibilities
- Plan and monitor shifts to ensure customer satisfaction and compliance with McDonald’s standards.
- Ensure the team meets McDonald’s quality, service, and cleanliness expectations.
- Communicate effectively with the next Shift Manager to prepare them for their shift.
- Manage food safety, internal communication, inventory, daily maintenance, and cleanliness.
- Oversee quality food production and exceptional customer service.
- Monitor and address safety and security concerns.
- Schedule staff and help departments meet their goals.
Requirements
- Previous leadership experience, preferably in a restaurant, retail, or hospitality setting.
- Positive attitude and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility with a schedule to accommodate the demands of a restaurant job.
- Must be 18 years or older to manage a McDonald’s restaurant.
