Shift Manager

About the role

Managers lead shifts every week, ensuring customers receive a fast, accurate, and friendly experience on every visit. They provide leadership to crew and other managers during a shift to maintain high standards of Quality, Service, and Cleanliness. Shift Managers handle various tasks such as planning for each shift, monitoring performance, enforcing McDonald’s standards, managing safety and security, and communicating with the next Shift Manager to prepare them for their shift.

Responsibilities

• Plan and monitor shifts to ensure customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
• Maintain cleanliness and quality standards across all areas of the restaurant.
• Ensure compliance with McDonald’s food safety protocols.
• Communicate effectively with the team and the next Shift Manager to facilitate smooth transitions.
• Manage inventory levels and daily maintenance activities.
• Train and develop the team to enhance overall performance.
• Meet and exceed departmental and individual performance targets.

Requirements

• Previous leadership experience, preferably in a restaurant, retail, or hospitality setting.
• A positive attitude and a passion for working in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work flexible hours and adapt to a dynamic workplace.
• At least 18 years of age to qualify as a manager in corporate-owned and operated McDonald’s restaurants.
