Shift Manager

Requirements

• Lead shifts every week to ensure customers receive a fast, accurate, friendly experience.
• Provide leadership to crew and other managers during a shift to maintain Quality, Service and Cleanliness standards.
• Perform various tasks such as planning for each shift, monitoring performance, ensuring team meets McDonald’s standards, managing safety and security, and communicating with the next Shift Manager.
• Meet targets during shifts and assist in meeting Department goals.

Responsibilities

• Plan for each shift to ensure smooth operations.
• Maintain high levels of Quality, Service, and Cleanliness.
• Monitor performance during the shift and take corrective actions as needed.
• Ensure compliance with food safety protocols.
• Manage inventory levels and daily maintenance.
• Train new employees and assist in training existing staff.
• Communicate effectively with the next Shift Manager to ensure a seamless transition.
• Manage crew schedules and ensure they are aligned with department goals.
• Handle exceptional customer service situations.
• Ensure safety and security measures are in place.

Qualifications

• Previous leadership experience, preferably in a restaurant, retail, or hospitality setting.
• Positive attitude and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexible schedule and willingness to adapt to the demands of the job.
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members and customers.
• At least 18 years old to qualify as a manager in corporate-owned McDonald’s restaurants.
