Shift Manager
About the role
Managers lead shifts every week, ensuring customers receive a fast, accurate, friendly experience on every visit. They provide leadership to crew and other managers during a shift to maintain high standards of Quality, Service, and Cleanliness. Shift Managers handle various tasks such as shift planning, performance monitoring, safety and security oversight, and communication between shifts.
Responsibilities
- Plan and monitor shifts to ensure customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
- Maintain high standards of Quality, Service, and Cleanliness throughout the shift.
- Ensure compliance with McDonald’s standards and policies.
- Communicate effectively with the next Shift Manager to prepare for the following shift.
- Meet and exceed targets set for the shift.
- Support and guide the team to achieve departmental goals.
- Manage inventory, daily maintenance, and cleanliness.
- Ensure food safety protocols are followed.
- Handle exceptional customer service situations.
- Oversee safety and security measures.
- Manage staff schedules and conduct training sessions.
Requirements
- Previous leadership experience, preferably in a restaurant, retail, or hospitality setting.
- A positive attitude and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility with a willingness to adapt to a demanding schedule.
- Ability to communicate effectively and manage a team.
- Age 18 or older to qualify as a manager in corporate-owned restaurants.
