Shift Manager

About the role

The role involves leading shifts in a McDonald’s restaurant owned and operated by an independent franchisee, not McDonald’s USA. As a Shift Manager, responsibilities include ensuring quality, service, and cleanliness, managing inventory, maintaining cleanliness, overseeing crew performance, and communicating with the next Shift Manager.

Responsibilities

• Plan and monitor shifts to ensure high-quality service and cleanliness
• Maintain inventory levels and manage daily maintenance and cleanliness
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations
• Communicate effectively with the next Shift Manager to prepare for their shift
• Help departments meet their goals and targets during shifts
• Manage crew performance and address any issues that arise
• Perform exceptional customer service and adhere to safety and security protocols
• Schedule staff and manage their availability
• Train new and existing employees

Requirements

• Previous leadership experience, preferably in a restaurant, retail, or hospitality setting
• Positive attitude and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Flexible schedule and willingness to adapt to the demands of the job
• Age 18 or older

Qualifications
