Shift Manager
About the role
The role involves leading shifts in a McDonald’s restaurant owned and operated by an independent franchisee, not McDonald’s USA. As a Shift Manager, responsibilities include ensuring quality, service, and cleanliness, managing inventory, maintaining cleanliness, overseeing crew performance, and communicating with the next Shift Manager.
Responsibilities
- Plan and monitor shifts to ensure high-quality service and cleanliness
- Maintain inventory levels and manage daily maintenance and cleanliness
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations
- Communicate effectively with the next Shift Manager to prepare for their shift
- Help departments meet their goals and targets during shifts
- Manage crew performance and address any issues that arise
- Perform exceptional customer service and adhere to safety and security protocols
- Schedule staff and manage their availability
- Train new and existing employees
Requirements
- Previous leadership experience, preferably in a restaurant, retail, or hospitality setting
- Positive attitude and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Flexible schedule and willingness to adapt to the demands of the job
- Age 18 or older
Qualifications
