Shift Manager

About the role

Managers lead shifts every week, ensuring customers receive a fast, accurate, and friendly experience. They provide leadership to crew and other managers during a shift to maintain high standards of Quality, Service, and Cleanliness. Shift Managers handle various tasks such as shift planning, performance monitoring, safety and security oversight, and communication between shifts.

Responsibilities

• Plan and monitor shifts to ensure quality, service, and cleanliness standards are met.
• Take action to address any issues and ensure team members are meeting McDonald’s standards.
• Communicate with the next Shift Manager to prepare them for their shift.
• Meet and exceed targets set for their shift.
• Help assigned Departments meet their goals.
• Manage inventory, daily maintenance, and cleanliness.
• Ensure food safety protocols are followed.
• Train new and existing staff.
• Handle customer complaints and resolve issues.
• Manage crew schedules and staffing levels.

Requirements

• Previous leadership experience, preferably in a restaurant, retail, or hospitality setting.
• Positive attitude and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexible schedule and willingness to adapt to the demands of the job.
• Age 18 or older.

Qualifications

While not specified, candidates should possess strong interpersonal skills, effective communication abilities, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Skills

Strong leadership, problem-solving, and customer service skills are essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with restaurant management software is beneficial.
