Duties And Responsibilities
- Supervise staff and run shifts when the Store Manager and/or General Manager is not on duty
- Direct other employees through their daily routines
- Interact with customers to ensure they have a satisfactory experience
- Must have open availability and be able to run all shifts around the Store Manager’s and General Manager’s schedules
- Hire and fire staff as necessary, often under the direction of the Store Manager and/or General Manager
- Create and distribute crew schedules and ensure they are followed properly
- Supervise staff to ensure they perform their duties with customer satisfaction in mind
- Train new crew members to handle food preparation and serving duties as necessary
- Provide workers with information on food safety, sanitation, personal hygiene, and company policies, procedures, standards, and processes
- Inspect food supplies, dishware, flatware, and food preparation equipment to ensure quality and standards are met
- Absorb inventory control of food, equipment, and supplies, and report any shortages or inconsistencies to the designated staff
- Monitor operational issues such as theft and waste and establish protocols to minimize them
- Ensure that kitchen equipment is maintained on a regular basis and arrange for repairs in a timely manner
- Report equipment wear and tear and approve the purchase of new equipment
- Ensure that food portions and courses are appropriate before they are served to customers
- Assist in processing payments through the cash register, credit card terminals, and loyalty and gift card transactions
- Listen to and address customers’ complaints and suggestions
- Perform other duties as assigned
