About the role
The job is for a Shift Manager position at a McDonald’s restaurant operated by an independent franchisee, not McDonald’s USA. The franchisee is a separate company and employer from McDonald’s USA. The franchisee is responsible for all employment matters, including hiring, firing, discipline, supervision, staffing, and scheduling.
Responsibilities
- Lead shifts every week, ensuring customers receive a fast, accurate, friendly experience.
- Provide leadership to crew and other managers during a shift to ensure great Quality, Service, and Cleanliness.
- Perform various tasks such as planning for each shift, monitoring performance, ensuring team meets McDonald’s standards, managing safety, security, and profitability, and communicating with the next Shift Manager.
- May be responsible for meeting targets during shifts and helping departments meet their goals.
- Manage food safety, internal communication, inventory management, daily maintenance and cleanliness, quality food production, exceptional customer service, safety and security, and scheduling.
- Train crew members.
Requirements
- Previous leadership experience, preferably within a restaurant, retail, or hospitality environment.
- Positive team player with a flexible schedule and passion for working in the fast-paced McDonald’s environment.
- Must be 18 years or older to be a manager in corporate-owned and operated McDonald’s restaurants.
