Shift Manager - 1321
About the role
The Shift Manager will be responsible for the administration and coordination of all maintenance operations for the assigned shift. This position will oversee maintenance operations, resolve internal and external disputes, coordinate activities among various departments to complete work assignments, and perform special assignments as required.
Responsibilities
- Attends shift turnover meetings.
- Covers project details with Quality Personnel, Team Leads and Parts Department.
- Reviews squawks generated and produces estimates that will be submitted for customer approval.
- Serves as point-of-contact for assigned shift.
- Maintains a look-forward approach for setting up manpower, equipment and parts for the next shift.
- Monitors all company e-mail traffic to help make informed decisions.
- Effectively and clearly communicate (i.e., speak, write, read) in English.
Requirements
- A High school diploma or equivalent are required.
- A&P license is recommended but not required.
- A valid driver’s license approved for airline travel and/or a valid passport is ideal, but not mandatory.
- Aircraft specific factory training is preferred.
- 5+ year’s prior experience working in corporate aircraft maintenance is recommended.
- Experience With Microsoft Office 365 Products Required.
- Actual work experience must include troubleshooting, use of specialized tools, ground support equipment, and the use of aircraft maintenance manuals, parts catalogs, technical reports and forms.
- Experience supervising two or more-line maintenance technicians.

Must have reliable transportation to get to work each and every day. Must perform all work in accordance with Federal Aviation Administration guidelines. Follow all company and safety rules during performance of duties. Maintain customer-oriented work habits. Direct the work and flow of multiple projects. Supervision of team members in daily operations and duties. Attention to detail with a focus on safety and quality of work.
Skills
Lift at least 70 lbs. Routine walking, bending and squatting or sitting. Routing or repetitive physical motion with arms and hands. Personal computer operations on Apple and Microsoft products especially Outlook, Word, and Excel spreadsheets. Work on elevated platforms (up to 40 feet in the air) using fall protection safety gear.
