Shift Leader

About the role

As a Shift Lead at Zankou Chicken, you will play a vital role in leading and supporting operations.

Responsibilities

• Greets all customers in a friendly, and helpful in a timely manner
• Takes customer orders over the counter and phone orders
• Acknowledges and addresses customer concerns
• Directs team members on shift to follow all cash management and cash register policies
• Executes store operations during scheduled shifts; organizes opening and closing duties as assigned
• Prepares daily administrative paperwork, cash reconciliations for entire day (including voids, refunds, and returns), and daily deposit preparation
• Gives breaks as necessary, when appropriate, and according to labor law guidelines
• Maintains focus on food standards, costs, and safety during the shift
• Performs nightly inventory
• Ensures team members are following all work safety guidelines
• Understands and complies with food safety and temperature standards

Qualifications

• Passionate about food, quality, guest service and growth
• Experience in a leadership or supervisory role preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities effectively
• Knowledge of cash management and cash register policies
• Understanding of food safety and sanitation requirements
