Shift Leader

About the role

The Shift Leader role is a full-time position that leads their peers and supports the business with daily operations. Key responsibilities include guiding peers to complete tasks safely and efficiently, maintaining the Judgement Free Zone, and providing an exceptional member experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet members/guests as they enter and exit the club; assist with any questions or concerns.
• Promote the Judgement Free Zone by connecting with members on the club floor, offering assistance, and supporting their fitness journeys while upholding club policies.
• Resolve member concerns and escalate to a Manager if necessary.
• Answer phones in a friendly manner and assist callers with their inquiries.
• Perform membership-related functions such as sign-ups, contact/billing information updates, cancellations, collecting unpaid balances, and transferring memberships.
• Execute prospective member calls and tours; assess their membership needs.
• Ensure restrooms are clean and sanitized, stocked, and clutter-free by following the routine cleaning schedule.
• Frequently perform a comprehensive walk of all club areas; quickly fix any safety/policy issues and address cleanliness concerns.
• Promptly address maintenance and facility concerns such as broken and/or missing equipment.

Requirements

• 6-12 months of experience in a customer service environment is preferred.
• Proven background leading others.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Willing to become CPR/AED Certified (Training provided by Planet Fitness).
• Basic computer proficiency.

Qualifications

• Physical Demands: Continual standing and moving throughout the club, continual communicating, lifting up to 75 pounds, encountering toxic chemicals, frequent cleaning and sanitizing, moving in different positions, including bending and twisting.

Skills

Quick study with the ability to apply what you have learned during online and hands-on training.

Benefits

• Compensation: Hourly pay range is $18.00 to $19.50.

Pay

$18.00/Hr. - $19.50/Hr.
