Shift Leader

About the role

The Shift Supervisor at Papa Murphy's is a dynamic leadership position responsible for ensuring the store runs smoothly and efficiently. They are expected to lead by example, manage team members, and uphold high standards of service, quality, and safety.

Responsibilities

• Conduct all aspects of the Crew Member position, including managing team performance and addressing issues.
• Oversee the preparation and operation of the store to meet projected business needs.
• Energize team members to meet or exceed guest service, product quality, food handling, sanitation, safety, and security guidelines.
• Ensure accurate cash handling, scheduling, breaks, opening and closing duties, and shift paperwork using the POS system.
• Handle emergencies, complaints, equipment issues, product shortages, and team member problems calmly and professionally.
• Train and develop team members for professional growth and success.
• Operate the store independently in the absence of the manager.

Requirements

• Ability to communicate, read, and apply fundamental math skills effectively.
• Outstanding customer service skills.
• Capacity to manage various difficult or emotional guest and crew situations.
• Novice computer skills, including MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and POS.
• Basic knowledge of store financials, P&Ls, break-even, food cost, labor cost, and other economic information.
• Desire to be a team player and lead with a great attitude.
• Six months experience in QSR or previous crew involvement.
• Knowledgeable in food safety.

• Maintain punctual and regular attendance at work.

Skills

• Effective communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to manage difficult situations calmly and professionally.
• Basic computer skills, including MS Office applications.
• Food safety knowledge.
