Shift Lead
About the role
The Läderach Key Holder (Shift Lead) position is within the Retail business unit, comprising more than 200 chocolateries in 21 countries. This role involves delivering outstanding customer experience, leading various in-store tasks, and ensuring the store and brand standards are met.
Responsibilities
- Deliver outstanding customer experience
- Provide training and/or help Store Associates meet production goals, including product-finishing projects
- Lead various in-store tasks during each shift, exemplifying the store and brand standards
- Ensure the movement on the sales floor is flowing effectively
- Help ensure product merchandising is done accurately
- Help to lead the follow-through of all food safety protocols
- Target sales objectives and help to achieve store compliance and loss prevention standards
- Participate in team meetings to discuss goals, progress, and topics in need of improvement
- Participate in other role-related duties as assigned by the Store Manager
Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience in retail sales or similar fast-paced, customer-minded environment, with increasing levels of responsibility
- Strong interpersonal skills and effective communication
- Reliable and flexible with scheduling based on store needs
- Quality-minded with keen attention to detail
- Passionate about chocolate
Physical Requirements
- May need physical stamina to remain active and stand for long hours, often walking or standing in a fast-paced environment
- Requires the ability to move quickly between tasks, assist multiple customers at once, or handle unexpected changes (like restocking or re-organizing displays)
- Multitasking requires physical agility and the ability to stay organized
- Bending, squatting, or reaching up high to organize or stock products may be required
- May involve bending down to clean floors or wiping down displays
- Restocking low shelves or accessing high displays may involve frequent bending or stretching
- Requires the ability to lift 15-40 pounds (7-18 kilograms)
