Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of shift technicians, ensuring they perform their duties effectively.
- Provide guidance and support to team members, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback to team members.
- Ensure all data center operations are running smoothly and efficiently during the shift.
- Maintain monitoring of critical services and building systems to identify and address potential issues promptly.
- Cook up with other departments and stakeholders to resolve operational challenges.
- Prepare detailed shift handover reports, documenting all relevant information, incidents, and actions taken during the shift.
- Conduct shift handover meetings to brief the incoming shift on the current status and any ongoing issues.
- Ensure compliance with all safety protocols, standard operating procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular safety drills and training sessions for the shift team.
- Report and document any safety incidents or near-misses promptly.
- Provide technical assistance and support to the shift team as needed.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that arise during the shift.
- Cook up with the technical support team for complex problem resolution.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiencies.
- Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives within the shift team.
- Participate in training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in data center operations or a similar role.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Technical proficiency in data center systems and operations.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, 24/7 operational environment.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and compliance standards.
