SHIFT LEAD

Responsibilities

• Help ensure team of co-workers maximize productivity during each shift while adhering to highest safety standards.
• Assist with recruiting and developing employees.
• Order and maintain supplies and arrange for office equipment maintenance.
• Assist with forklift driver duties as needed.
• Track movements on proper forms in a timely and legible manner.
• Manage employee relations issues, locally, in conjunction with the On-Site Manager.
• Load and unload materials from trailers and move to the appropriate staging area within the facility.
• Check to make sure loads are secure.
• Perform daily equipment checks on industrial power equipment.
• Examine products to verify conformance to quality standards.
• Execute basic financial data entry.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.

Requirements

• One year of Supervisor or Lead experience preferred.
• High School diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation.
• Forklift certification.

Qualifications

• Ability to work in extreme conditions including heat, cold, and air particulates.
• Repetitively adjust body position to bend, stoop, walk, turn, pivot, and stand for entire shifts of varying lengths.
• Sit for long periods of time.
• Work in environments with dependent noise levels.
• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required (eye protection, ear protection, safety shoes).
• May be required to lift pallets by hand, each weighing between 50 lbs. to 75 lbs.
